Bill Clark, President

Bill Clark has served as President of Anchor Bay Entertainment for the past 10 years, transforming the company from a distributor of catalog product to one of the leading independent distributors of major new theatrical films and television series. Under his leadership, Anchor Bay has secured deals with top-notch partners including The Weinstein Company, RADiUS, AMC Networks, UFC, Leslie Sansone, and others to distribute their product on Blu-ray and DVD.  


As head of the company, he launched Anchor Bay Films which has acquired over 70 titles for theatrical and home entertainment distribution, featuring talent such as Michael Douglas, Susan Sarandon, Andy Garcia, Maria Bello, Al Pacino, Rooney Mara, Christopher Walken, Kim Cattrall, Liam Neeson, Michael Sheen and Justin Timberlake, among many others. Under his guidance, Anchor Bay became the market leader for Fitness and Anime programming in North America and the UK.  


Clark has worked to strengthen the company’s relationships with key retailers to have the same direct sales relationships as the major studios, as a result ABE is the only independent to be awarded Walmart’s Vendor of the Quarter.    


Before joining Anchor Bay he served in several senior management positions including Worldwide COO of Universal Studios Home Entertainment, COO of Spelling Entertainment, COO/CFO Priority Records and Senior Vice President positions for EMI Music and The Walt Disney Studios. His experience spans production thru distribution and he was an integral part of the management team that launched and managed Disney’s Stageplay Division with the debut of Beauty and the Beast on Broadway as well the execution of Disney’s direct theatrical and home entertainment international distribution initiatives. He started his entertainment industry career with CBS and held positions in both its International Record and Broadcasting Operating groups.  


Clark is an inductee into Variety’s Home Entertainment Hall of Fame and serves on the Board of the Digital Entertainment Group (DEG). He is also a former Board member of BAFTA, a current member of ATAS, BAFTA and Film Independent, and served as an advisor to Pandora (formerly Savage Beast Technologies).

Raymond J. Zinar, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Raymond J. Zinar is responsible for the overall direction of all sales efforts worldwide on behalf of Anchor Bay Entertainment.  Since joining the company, he has driven his team to achieve double digit growth year-over-year for the past 6 years, putting an emphasis on creating mutually beneficial programs with the customer base.  He oversees the field sales and retail marketing teams which includes 15 members in the U.S. and directs all the Sales efforts globally.  Anchor Bay Entertainment is one of the only independents holding direct accounts with the major retailers.  

Zinar joined the company in 2006 as Vice President of Sales and was responsible for launching as well as promoting the rental and wholesale distribution sides of the business.  During this time, he built a rental division that has seen tremendous growth each year and has a stellar reputation among the retail community.  He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2008 with increased responsibilities in strategic planning across all the sales groups.   In 2010, Zinar became Executive Vice President over Worldwide Sales and Retail Marketing along with Sales Planning responsibilities.  Since then, he has reorganized the U.S. Sales and Retail Marketing groups, allowing increased decision making and execution at the account level.  He is engaged in all strategic planning efforts with the senior executive staff.

Zinar began his career over 23 years ago at Schwartz Brothers where he was hired as editor of the weekly video publication.  Prior to joining Anchor Bay, Zinar held various sales positions including working at MGM, Polygram Video, LIVE and Lyrick/HIT Entertainment.

Julie Cartwright, Executive Vice President Marketing

As the top marketing executive at Anchor Bay Entertainment (ABE), Julie Cartwright has been a driving force behind the distributor’s most innovative marketing initiatives and its nimble, highly collaborative reputation. An expert at building cross promotional partnerships, managing relationships with filmmakers and developing alliances with global brands, she leads creative development, public relations, promotions, brand marketing and digital consumer marketing for the company’s many products.


Cartwright oversees strategic activities for all Anchor Bay releases, driving results through unique product offerings, award-winning packaging, unique bonus materials and special editions. Her purview includes STARZ Original series like “Black Sails”, “Spartacus” and “Power,” theatrical films from RADiUS Films and The Weinstein Company, such as The Imitation Game and Paddington; and content from IFC, Sundance Channel and Gravitas Ventures as well as AMC Networks’ “The Walking Dead,” one of TV’s highest rated series. She also launched the company’s TV on DVD category and has grown its fitness business to be the category leader.  


Cartwright joined Anchor Bay in 1999 and works closely with President Bill Clark and EVP Sales Ray Zinar to invest in new partners, finding new ways of driving the business in emerging technology, and working closely with retailers on innovative marketing initiatives.
